MeatMy chest is empty. Something has spliced its contents onto a blackened grill where it hisses and spits.
It is now scarred with charred cross-hatching, and a brown coat of paint, yet it bleeds in the middle.
A serrated blade with a wooden handle tears away at it, Turning it to threads
and little bite-size
chunks, to be consumed
by bulbous men in layered suits with airs of satisfaction at their destructivity.

MidnightI close my eyes. It makes no difference
for the dark stretches.
It plagues me. The pestilent bogeymen of my childhood
resurface from the dust. Dredging themselves from my past,
into the silt of now.
My senses ache out into the un-equivalent void that I flow into with no compensation.
There is no release. Sleep will not claim me and soothe me in the fantasy
that I dream of. No rest for the weary, No sweet opiate. We must
pay for its warmth

SplintersStamp out my heart. Throw it to the ground and crush it with your heel. Don't mind the mess. I'll take it with me when you leave.

buying some glue and tape to mend that which you broke. The staples didn't work. They just made it hurt more.
My heart is sharp now.

A Change in the Wind.

Ever read a Sylvia Plath poem?
If you want to be depressed for the rest of the day, go right ahead.
I'm not saying her poems are bad, on the contrary, I love them, but they are SO DEPRESSING.

Anyway, all the poetry work I've been doing in english has been inspiring me to write more, so during the course of today, I wrote four. I won't submit them all in one go, I'll add them when I'm happy with them. But for now, you'll be seeing a lot more poetry 'round here.

Try not to get too depressed my dears.
